Every set includes a free measure and quote, shutters made to your measurements, installation and a written warranty. Our shutters are opened by hand, with no cords or chains.
How Our Timber Shutters Are Built
Timber shutters are built from a frame of stiles and rails holding the louvres, and the way the corners are joined decides how well a panel stays square. In mortise and tenon joinery, the rail slots into a cut-out in the stile rather than being held by dowels. Ask your consultant how our frames are joined and where the timber is sourced.
Blades tilt in one of two ways. A tilt rod is the thin bar down the front of the panel, while a hidden tilt sits out of sight at the side. Your quote sets out the warranty term and what it covers.
How Much Do Timber Plantation Shutters Cost?
The timber plantation shutters cost for your home depends on the timber, the finish and the windows, so the price is set by a free measured quote. These move it:
Species: the timber the panels are made from
Finish: paint or stain
Size: the width and height of each window
Shape: arches and angled tops take more work than square windows
Configuration: the number of panels, and whether they are hinged or on a track
Every quote is measured to your windows and written, so you know the price before you commit.
Caring for Timber Shutters
Dust weekly, wipe with a barely damp cloth, and keep water off the timber. Avoid harsh or solvent cleaners, which can dull the paint or stain.
From Measure to Installation
A consultant measures every window and brings finish samples. Your shutters are made to those measurements, and our installer fits them and shows you how to care for them. The lead time is confirmed with your quote.
